The ROS-Industrial Consortium organizes cooperative projects between its members to develop new and advanced manufacturing technologies that benefit all participating partners. There are different types of projects that are facilitated by the ROS-Industrial Consortium.
Under the umbrella of FTP projects, members of the ROS-Industrial Consortium collaborate, to create new ROS-based robot application infrastructure such as packages for specific manufacturing technologies.
Strategic research is either executed on consortium budget or via public funded projects. These proects typically focus on expanding ROS and robotics capabilities in general.
Other cooperation formats between members are also possible based on usual, industry standard cooperation agreements. Results are made public on case by case basis and agreement.
